Hi.  Again.

I say that because this is not the first time I have thought, “gee, I should start a blog.”  It probably will not be the last.  See, I have a tendency to get sidetracked.  It is actually related to the title of this blog.  Everyone has some key phrase they tend to repeat – something unique to them.  Mine – the one that typically makes my wife and friends prepare for impending absurdity – is: “So, I had a thought…”

However, I like to pretend that my thoughts have some sort of significance.  Additionally, I have no delusions of the capability of my mind to keep them straight as I get older.  This is why I hope to write them down.  I also believe that new ways of thinking and innovation happen most often at crossroads of experience.  This is why I want to make my thoughts public.  Hopefully, through discussion, I can get exposure to more peoples experiences.

Thoughts inside a single person’s mind are like grains of sand.  Interesting enough on their own, sure.  But when you start adding those grains of sand to others, you start to build something different.  A beach?  Perhaps.  Something a clam will use as the start of a pearl?  Hopefully.  Preferably not a desert…too dry.  Ok, maybe that analogy falls apart if you think to hard about it…whatever, you get my drift.
